Workshop Structure

Chapters
A workshop can have many chapters depending on the workshop length. Each chapter is a self-contained module that covers a specific aspect of the main topic.

Each chapter can have the following components:

  1. Lesson

    • Each chapter contains a lesson that covers the topic of the chapter.
    • This is the main textual content of the chapter.
  2. Exercise

    • Exercise is an optional component to a chapter.
    • Offers a hands-on environment for you to apply theoretical concepts to practice.
    • An Exercise component contains the following three sections:
      • Exercise Lab: A cloud lab, a downloadable artifact, or a set of questions to complete the exercise.

      • Exercise Info: A description of the exercise and a task for you to complete.

      • Exercise Solution: A solution guide to the exercise.

  3. Chapter Solvables

    • Chapter solvables are optional components to chapters.
    • If available, they must be solved in order to complete the chapter.
    • Solvables are a set of questions or challenges that reinforce the learning of the chapter.
    • Solvables can be a quiz from the lesson content, a CTF flag of the exercise, or a set of questions.
